My first time to visit Africa, Uganda - a review!
The jewel at the end of Lake Albert and unquestionably Uganda’s most accomplished safari park, the Murchison Falls National Park ranges from the protected wetlands of the Bugungu Wildlife Reserve in the west to the lion-dotted reaches of the Karuma Game Reserve in the east, cut through midway by the winding courses of the River Nile. Within its borders, eager-eyed travellers can spy out no fewer than four of the so-called big five: wandering elephant herds, plains lions, Cape buffalos and even the elusive leopard (be sure to ask your Murchison Falls National Park tour guide for help in finding that one!). Ugandan kob, hippos and giraffes add a real diversity to the mix too, while the breath-taking wonders of the eponymous Murchison Falls and the early inland deltas of the Victoria Nile (clogged with myriad bird species) make for some fine sightseeing… to put it mildly!
