Eulogised as the place with ‘the most beautiful sky in the world’ by Herodotus, the sun-kissed town of Aydin continues to enjoy its ancient location amidst the rolling fig orchards and meandering streams of the Buyuk Menderes River at the southern end of the Turkish Mediterranean seaboard.
