Peru Tourist Information
I would say Axel was more of a tour organiser than a guide.
His local knowledge was very limited and repeatedly consulted the driver when asked questions.
Very little information was offered and was always prompted by ourselves for information.
There was never any commentary.
Despite telling us otherwise we believe that the stay with a local family in Puna was his first time and had not been to the property before.
1 we were told to get off at a train stop that did not exist.
2 we arrived after dark and he had difficulty in finding the location.
3. He did not know the name of the owners of the house.
4. The standard of accommodation for this property was very basic to say the least and not commensurate with the price paid.
