George Meyer

George added the magic  tour of the Garden Route.  We changed our plans from originally driving ourselves, to having a guide.  George changed the special into the exceptional, his intimate knowledge from spending time in the area as youth, let us go of the beaten track, literally, discovering some of the culture and wilderness of the area.  We experienced the remoteness  of the early European settlers in the failed attempt to establish a silk industry, remote beaches from George’s youth. Very special was our tour of Knysna’s Township and the fantastic work done by “Peggy” in supporting this community.

We spent the evenings in some special restaurants, selected by George and met some of the boutique winemakers of the area.  Our experienced was so much enhanced by George’s guidance.
