Robert Matevosyan

Robert was the guide for our small group tour in English to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh. He was welcoming and clearly genuinely proud that we had chosen to visit his country. Robert made a group of strangers instantly welcome to his country and we were all friends by the end of the 9 days. His knowledge was extensive and it covered history, both ancient and more recent, culture, politics and especially Armenian Christianity. But however detailed his knowledge might be, he was able to deliver it interestingly in excellent English with the right level of detail an audience with a mixture of interests. He was also a resourceful and efficient guide and made sure that the trip ran smoothly, adapting effortlessly even when some minor details had to change. I can't think of any way in which it would have been possible for him to have been a better guide for our group.
