My Reviews
Remzi Kaya
We were a group of six. Most of us had visited many ancient sites in the world, but this was our first time in Turkey. Remzi met us in Istanbul and guided us from there to points in southeast Turkey to Cappadocia and finally Ankara. He is very well versed in archeology and ancient and modern religions. Remzi's knowledge of Christian, Islamic and Judaic culture, history, beliefs and practices was invaluable. Each one of us gained an insight and understanding of their similarities and contrasts. This made our tour very interesting and what we learned has been very beneficial to each of us many times since. When it comes to history and archeology, I can't think of anyone more knows and loves them than Remzi. He guided us thru places well known to us: Troy, Pergamum and Ephesus; and places not known at all: Aphrodisias, Konya and Sultanhani Caravenserai. But the most spectacular place Remzi shared with us was his home area, Cappadocia. After our trip, I have organized two other tours similar to ours. Each time the first thing I did was try to schedule Remzi as the guide. Remzi is a wonderful guide to a spectacular country. Anyone fortunate to travel with him will enjoy every minute and go home much wiser.
