Marcello Torrisi

My wife and I had never been on a tour before. And unbeknownst to me she arranged and booked a 16 day tour of Sicily, to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine.First I have to say that it was a dream made real. I love Sicily. And we, Susan and I, along with our other members of the tour, fell in love with Marcello. He was knowledgeable, patient, gracious, and full of good humor. What a great way to start touring. Every day was a new adventure. Every day was filled with surprises, and satisfactions. And we learned so much. On our tour, late September/early October in 2013, Marcello celebrated his birthday. And we all surprised him for a change, made him a birthday party, and chipped in for a present as well. In 2014, Marcello came to America, and most of us were hoping that he'd come to our home town. That should demonstrate how much we loved him. The only negative is...if it can even be called a negative....we were so spoiled by Marcello, that we'll probably measure all subsequent tours and tour guides against what he did for us. As far as Susan and I are concerned, he is the Gold Standard. Would happily take any other tour he's leading. And we're still hoping that on his next trip to America, he'll stay with us here in Los Angeles
