Marcello Torrisi

Marcello Torrisi was our guide for a Grand Circle tour of Sicily, Fall 2013. A native of Sicily, his knowledge was complete, and communicated well in perfect English, only slightly accented. His love for his native land and knowledge of its history/geography/culture/etc added to our understanding and appreciation of what we were seeing. He shared his own history and that of his family. He was willing to adjust to the various goals of the group members; I for one like to wander off and take pictures, and he was able to inform me about paths that were not part of the tour, and just give me a time and place to meet. A totally pleasant and likable fellow.
