Hector Nogales

My husband and I, along with our 2 children(14&12) were looking for a place to go to learn how to surf. We thought it would be very intense, serous and not much fun. We were given Hector's name by the LaConcha consiere as a place to get surfing lessons. We couldn't have been happier. Hector & his brother welcomed us with great enthusiasm! We went from being nervous to being excited and calm. They were very patient with us. We all were very different in our athleticism and surfing talent and they adjusted accordingly to each person's strengths& weaknesses. My 12yo daughter learned the fastest and was surfing with no problems 20min into the lesson. My son got stung by a jelly fish and Hector ran to his apt to bring us vinegar to help with the sting. He is so thoughtful and talented. My son was hesitant to try surfing, but after Hector was done, my son enjoyed himself very much. The price was very reasonable as well. And his brother took pictures and videos of us surfing and emailed them to us:) If we come back to San Juan we will definitely go back to Hector for more surfing. I always like to give " family businesses" my business over "big corporations " and now I know why. It's because of people like Hector& his brother, who make an honest living!!
