My Reviews
Charles Andrew
I am a single lady travelling alone. Andrew met me at airport (I was very late and should have arrived at 3pm but did not get there until 00.30 the next day) and drove me 4.5 hours to Annaradapura arriving at 4.30am. He sorted out my foreign exchange and obtaining a local SIM card. He recommended and organised all the hotels I stayed at over the 7 day trip. Some were really great (at Sigiriya and in Kandy) some less so, but always a reason for that. He organised expert guides for the historical sites, the Knuckles Range hike and the cloud forest, I wanted to visit and advised on the best view sites and local knowledge gleaned from years of experience in the hospitality business. He advised me on who to tip and how much to tip (the British are always very unsure of this) and helped me explore the local cusine, always steering me away from food which would be too spicy for me. He knew I was suffering from lack of good coffee and went out of his way to find barista coffee shops wherever he could. I cannot praise him highly enough for putting up with me for a whole week, his good humour, his patience, his excellent English, his unlimited supplies of bottled water. He made my holiday a wonderful experience and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get the most out of Sri Lanka. He had also looked after my daughter and a group of her friends in 2021 so I knew I was in safe hands.
Anastassia Sofou
Road works and "failure to send" messages made for a bad start but once over that, I had an amazing time. Anastassia had planned a day based around my interests (history, drama & food) and I could not have asked for a better-informed, charming, funny, sensitive guide. Anastassia knows Athens like the back of her hand, knows the short cuts, the best out of the way places to eat and drink and is very good company. For a woman travelling on her own she was the perfect companion. I would highly recommend Anastassia. You need to be fit. She walks fast.
