1. Chandragiri Hill and Kathmandu Heritage Tour – Full-Day Itinerary

   Morning

   9:00 AM – Hotel Pickup & Scenic Drive to Chandragiri Hill

   • Start your day with a comfortable hotel pickup from your Kathmandu accommodation.
   • Enjoy a scenic drive to Thankot, the base station for the Chandragiri Cable Car.
   • As you ascend, marvel at the panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley, lush green hills, and distant snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

   10:00 AM – Arrive at Chandragiri Hill

   • Reach the hilltop station and take in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Langtang.
   • Visit Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located at the top of the hill.
   • Take a leisurely walk around the hilltop viewing decks, and enjoy the crisp mountain air while capturing stunning photographs of the Himalayan skyline.

   11:30 AM – Depart for Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)

   • Drive down from Chandragiri Hill to Swayambhunath Stupa, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site.
   • Explore the stupa’s golden spire and the famous all-seeing eyes of Buddha.
   • Walk around the stupa, spin the prayer wheels, and admire the colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind.
   • Take in the 360-degree panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley from the top of the hill.

   Afternoon

   1:00 PM – Lunch Break

   • Stop for a lunch break at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine or international dishes. (Lunch is not included in the tour price, so please bring extra cash for meals.)

   2:00 PM – Kathmandu Durbar Square

   • Proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historical heart of the city.
   • Visit the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the former royal residence of Nepalese kings.
   • Explore the Kumari Ghar, the home of the Living Goddess, Kumari.
   • Admire the Taleju Temple, Jagannath Temple, and Kal Bhairav Statue, showcasing Nepal’s architectural brilliance and deep cultural history.

   4:00 PM – Optional Visit to Thamel or Local Market

   • If time allows, take a short visit to Thamel, Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist district, known for its shops, cafes, and vibrant street life.
   • Alternatively, you can visit a nearby local market to shop for souvenirs, traditional crafts, and unique items.

   Evening

   5:30 PM – Return to Hotel

   • After a day full of spiritual exploration, cultural immersion, and Himalayan views, drive back to your hotel in Kathmandu.
   • The tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your enriching journey through Nepal’s most sacred and historic sites.
