Florence Special Walking Tour
- The walking tour will start in Piazza Strozzi with some information about this important Florentine family.
- Next, we will go to Palazzo Strozzi del Poeta via Tornabuoni.
- After that, the tour continues passing through Ponte Santa Trinita Bridge, reaching the Oltrarno.
- The path continues through Porta San Frediano. We will reach Villa Strozzi al Boschetto with its park, Limonaia and San Bartolomeo at Monte Oliveto church. Here are some wonderful works of art. This is where Leonardo da Vinci painted his Annunciation, now displayed at the Uffizi Gallery.
- All the mentioned places are connected to Giovan Battista Strozzi and his Alterati Academy. He was an eminent exponent of the Strozzi family. Like some of his ancestors, he had been an art lover and patron of many artists too.
- The tour ends at the San Bartolomeo at Monte Oliveto Church.
