Itinerary

1. Day 1: Cochin Sightseeing

   • 8:00 AM – Pickup from Cochin (Hotel/Airport)
     Padma Holidays representative will pick you up for a private tour of Cochin.
   • 9:00 AM – Fort Kochi
     Explore colonial-era streets with Portuguese and Dutch influences. Visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India.
   • 10:00 AM – Chinese Fishing Nets
     Witness the iconic fishing nets operated manually, a historic symbol of Cochin’s maritime trade.
   • 11:00 AM – Mattancherry Palace
     Also known as the Dutch Palace, this 16th-century palace features murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and Kerala’s royal heritage.
   • 12:00 PM – Jew Town & Paradesi Synagogue
     Walk through the historic Jewish Quarter, visit the 16th-century Paradesi Synagogue with Belgian chandeliers and hand-painted tiles.
   • 1:00 PM – Lunch Break
     Enjoy a traditional Kerala meal at a local restaurant.
   • 2:30 PM – Marine Drive & Santa Cruz Basilica
     Relax at Marine Drive, a scenic waterfront promenade. Visit the grand Santa Cruz Basilica, a historic Indo-European church.
   • 4:00 PM – Transfer to Alleppey
     Drive to Alleppey for the houseboat stay.
   • 6:00 PM – Houseboat Check-in & Sunset View
     Board the private houseboat and enjoy a serene evening cruise.
   • 8:00 PM – Traditional Kerala Dinner
     Freshly prepared dinner served onboard with local delicacies.

   Overnight stay on the houseboat.

2. Day 2: Alleppey Backwater Cruise & Departure

   • 7:30 AM – Breakfast on the Houseboat
     Enjoy a Kerala-style breakfast with appam, idiyappam, coconut chutney, and fresh fruits.
   • 8:30 AM – Punnamada Lake & Vembanad Lake
     Sail through Kerala’s longest lake, famous for its tranquil waters and birdlife.
   • 9:30 AM – Village & Canal Exploration
     Pass through narrow canals lined with traditional houses, coconut palms, and fishermen at work.
   • 11:00 AM – Checkout & Transfer to Cochin
     Disembark from the houseboat and drive back to Cochin.
   • 1:00 PM – Drop at Cochin (Hotel/Airport)
     End of tour with a comfortable drop-off.
