Itinerary

1. Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh – Govindghat – Ghangaria

   Drive: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Govindghat (292 km | 10-12 hrs)
   Trek: Govindghat to Ghangaria (14 km | 5-6 hrs)

   • Early morning pick-up from Haridwar or Rishikesh and drive via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Joshimath.
   • Reach Govindghat, the starting point for the trek.
   • Start trekking (or take a mule/helicopter) to Ghangaria (3,049m).
   • Check-in at the hotel/guesthouse and relax.

2. Day 2: Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria

    Trek: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (6 km one way | 3-4 hrs)

   • Early morning trek to Valley of Flowers National Park.
   • Explore the valley, covered with over 500 species of alpine flowers like blue poppies, orchids, and primulas.
   • Enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, and meadows.
   • Spend 3-4 hours exploring the valley, then trek back to Ghangaria.

3. Day 3: Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib – Ghangaria

    Trek: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (6 km one way | 4-5 hrs)

   • Early morning trek to Hemkund Sahib (4,632m), one of the highest Sikh shrines.
   • Visit the Gurudwara and take a holy dip in the glacial lake.
   • Enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks.
   • Trek back to Ghangaria by late afternoon.
   • Rest and explore the local market.

4. Day 4: Ghangaria – Govindghat – Haridwar/Rishikesh

    Trek: Ghangaria to Govindghat (14 km | 4-5 hrs)
    Drive: Govindghat to Haridwar/Rishikesh

   • After breakfast, descend from Ghangaria to Govindghat.
   • Drive back to Haridwar/Rishikesh, with a stop at Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers).
   • Drop-off in Haridwar/Rishikesh by evening.
