Itinerary

1. DAY 1 - Arrival and journey to Etosha

   Morning

   • Arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek.
   • Meet and greet by your tour guide/driver. After a brief introduction, embark on the journey to Etosha National Park.
   • En route, make a stop at the Okahandja Craft Market, a renowned spot for high-quality Namibian handmade crafts, including wooden sculptures, jewelry, and textiles. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs while supporting local artisans.
   • Continue the scenic drive, passing small towns and landscapes typical of Namibia's central plateau.

   Afternoon

   • Arrive at your lodge near or inside Etosha National Park in time for a late lunch or quick refreshments.
   • Head out for your first game drive in Etosha National Park.
   • Highlights: Explore nearby waterholes such as Okaukuejo or Ombika, where wildlife gathers in the afternoon. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions basking in the late-day sun.
   • Return to the lodge for dinner.
   • Evening relaxation: Enjoy the serene ambiance, stargazing, or watch wildlife at a nearby waterhole (if the lodge provides one).

2. DAY 2 - Full-day game drive in the Etosha National Park

   Morning

   • Early breakfast at the lodge to start your day with energy.
   • Begin your full-day game drive through Etosha National Park, focusing on its vast landscapes, iconic waterholes, and diverse wildlife.

   Afternoon

   • Stop for a packed lunch or visit one of the designated picnic spots in the park.
   • Highlights: Visit famous waterholes like Halali, Okondeka, and Nebrownii for sightings of rhinos, wildebeests, springboks, and predators such as cheetahs and leopards.
   • Drive through the iconic Etosha Pan, a massive salt pan visible from space. The shimmering mirages and occasional wildlife crossing the pan make for stunning photo opportunities.

   Evening

   • Return to the lodge as the sun sets.
   • Dinner and relaxation: Share stories of the day's adventures while enjoying the lodge's amenities.

3. DAY 3 - Drive back to Windhoek

   Morning

   • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge while taking in the last glimpses of Etosha’s beauty.
   • Begin the drive back to Windhoek, retracing the scenic route.
   • Optional: Brief stops for refreshments or to revisit highlights like the Okahandja Craft Market for last-minute shopping.

   Afternoon

   • Arrive in Windhoek. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel, guesthouse, or the airport for your onward journey.
