Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco, Pacchanta Community, Pachaspata
- Departure: Early morning (4:30 AM) from your Cusco hotel. After a 3.5-hour drive, you'll arrive at Pacchanta (4,334 meters), a picturesque community known for its hot springs and alpaca farming.
- Activity: A short acclimatization hike around Ausangate Lagoons. You'll explore 7 beautiful lagoons while enjoying panoramic views of the Ausangate summit.
- Camp: Stay at Pacchaspata on the east side of Ausangate.

Day 2: Pachaspata, Ausangate Base Camp
- Hike: After breakfast, the hike continues toward Paso Jampa (5,100 meters), one of the highest points on the trek. The climb can be tough, but the views are incredible.
- Descend to Surapata campsite for a break before continuing towards Base Camp.
- Base Camp: Set up camp, enjoy views of Ausangate, and take a light hike to Chocolate Lake, famous for its distinct brown hue.

Day 3: Ausangate Base Camp to Morrine Camp (Camp 1)
- Night Preparation: Early wake-up (11 PM) for the 8-hour climb to Camp I at 5,800 meters.
- Climb: This section is challenging with steep, rocky paths and a high altitude.
- You’ll experience stunning views as you ascend and set up your high-altitude camp at Morrine Camp (Camp I).

Day 4: Morrine Camp to Ausangate Summit
- Summit Day: Another early start to ascend to the Ausangate summit (6,384 meters). The route includes glacier climbing, ice, and snow conditions. You’ll face some technical climbing challenges, but the summit views of the Vilcanota mountain range will be unforgettable.
- Descent: After summiting, descend using rappelling techniques over 50-meter cliffs back to Base Camp for a well-deserved rest and dinner.

Day 5: Base Camp to Ananta
- Hike to Rainbow Mountain: The day involves hiking through valleys and past llamas, culminating in the ascent of Palomani Pass (5,200 meters).
- Camp: After a rewarding descent, spend the night at Ananta Camp. Relax with stunning night skies and starry views.

Day 6: Ananta to Rainbow Mountain, Return to Cusco
- Final Hike: Today, you will ascend to Huarmisaya Pass (4,977 meters), offering incredible views of the Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). The colorful terrain makes this hike unforgettable.
- Return: After exploring the area, descend and travel back to Cusco, reflecting on an extraordinary adventure.
