Itinerary

1. Meeting Point

   • Meet me at the Visitor Information Center at 90 S West Temple Street, Salt Lake City Utah.
   • Alternatively, I can meet you in the lobby of your hotel in downtown Salt Lake City (select hotels only).

2. City Creek Mall and Main Street

   • We'll walk through City Creek Mall, an indoor/outdoor mall to Main Street. 

3. Main Street to Gallivan Center

   • Along Main Street we will admire the oldest building that remains from a by-gone era and all the new architecture surrounding it. 
   • From there, our walk continues to the Gallivan Center, which was part of the old red-light district in the late 19th/early 20th century.

4. Gallivan Center to State Street

   • From the Gallivan Center we will walk to State Street where we will catch the bus to the Utah State Capitol Building. This is a short 10-minute bus ride.

5. Utah State Capitol Building

   • We will enter the Utah State Capitol Building and do a short tour of the lower level, first and 2nd floor. 
   • We will exit via the South entrance and admire the panoramic view of the Salt Lake Valley

6. Utah State Capitol to Temple Square

   • From the Utah State Capitol Building we will continue our walk towards Temple Square along State Street, a tree lined street with some magnificent old mansions.  

7. Temple Square

   • We will walk around the perimeter of Temple Square and see the Beehive House, Lion House, Joseph Smith Memorial Building (old Hotel Utah), Assembly Hall, and the Temple. 
   • Time permitting, we may attend the organ recital in the Tabernacle. 

   [Unannounced detours may occur due to the ongoing construction on and around Temple Square.]

8. End of the walking tour

   • The walking tour ends at the Visitor Information Center at 90 S. West Temple Street.
