Mongla Port is connected to other inland river ports and the railway terminal in Khulna. The port operates 24 hours for unloading goods, and ships up to 225 meters in length can enter. Annually, about 400 ships anchor at Mongla Port, importing and exporting around 3 million metric tons of goods. The port has 11 jetties, seven sheds, and eight warehouses for loading and unloading cargo.
