Itinerary

1. Day 1- Addis Abeba to Jinka and Mago

   • On the first day, depart from Jinka and drive to Mago National Park, home to diverse wildlife and indigenous tribes. 
   • Enter Mago National Park and embark on a game drive to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and various species of antelope. 
   • Continue to the Mursi village, known for its distinctive lip plates and unique cultural practices. Interact with the Mursi people, learn about their way of life, and admire their traditional huts and craftsmanship. 
   • Camp overnight near the Mursi village, enjoying a traditional Ethiopian dinner and cultural exchange around the campfire.

2. Day 2- Jinka to Turmi

   • On the second day, depart from Jinka and drive to Turmi, a vibrant town known for its weekly markets and diverse tribal communities. 
   • Stop at the Key Afer market, where various tribes gather to buy, sell, and trade goods. 
   • Experience the bustling atmosphere and colorful displays of local produce, crafts, and livestock. Continue the journey to Turmi and check into your accommodation. 
   • Take a leisurely walk around the town and interact with the local Hamar people, known for their unique hairstyles, ceremonies, and rituals. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and spend the night at your hotel or campsite in Turmi.

3. Day 3- Turmi to Karo Tribe

   • On the third day, embark on a day trip to the Karo village, located along the banks of the Omo River. 
   • Meet the Karo people, known for their intricate body painting and scarification practices, and learn about their cultural heritage. Return to Turmi for lunch and relaxation. 
   • Attend a traditional Hamar Bull Jumping Ceremony, a rite of passage for young men in the Hamar tribe. 
   • Witness the spectacle of dancing, chanting, and bull jumping, accompanied by colorful attire and ceremonial rituals. 
   • Reflect on the day's cultural experiences over dinner and spend another night in Turmi.

4. Day 4- Turmi_ jinka _addis abeba

   • On the fourth day, depart from Turmi and drive back to Jinka, enjoying the scenic views of the Omo Valley landscape along the way. 
   • Stop at the Arbore village, known for its unique architecture and traditional way of life. Interact with the Arbore people, learn about their customs, and admire their handicrafts. 
   • Continue the journey to Jinka and visit the South Omo Research Center & Museum to learn more about the indigenous tribes of the region and their cultural significance. 
   • Arrive back in Jinka in the late afternoon, where the tour concludes. Reflect on the enriching cultural experiences and memories of the Omo Valley before departing for your next destination.
