Itinerary

1. Day 1: Delhi to Amritsar & Local Sightseeing

   • Morning:

     • Board an early morning train from Delhi (Shatabdi Express/Vande Bharat Express).
     • Breakfast served onboard during the comfortable journey to Amritsar.
     • Arrival in Amritsar by late morning/early afternoon.

   • Afternoon:

     • Check in to your hotel and freshen up.
     • Visit the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the spiritual hub of Sikhism. Marvel at its gold-plated architecture and serene atmosphere.
     • Explore the Langar Hall, where thousands of devotees are served free meals daily.

   • Evening:

     • Visit Jallianwala Bagh, a historic garden memorializing the 1919 massacre.
     • Head to the Wagah Border (30 km from Amritsar) to witness the vibrant Beating Retreat Ceremony, a display of patriotic fervor between India and Pakistan.
     • Return to the hotel for dinner or explore local markets for handicrafts and souvenirs.
     • Overnight stay in Amritsar.

2. Day 2: Morning Activities & Return to Delhi

   • Early Morning (Optional):

     • Revisit the Golden Temple to witness the peaceful morning prayers and spiritual energy.

   • Breakfast & Shopping:

     • Enjoy a traditional Punjabi breakfast, such as Amritsari kulcha with lassi.
     • Stroll through local markets to shop for Phulkari embroidery, Punjabi juttis, or spices.

   • Afternoon:

     • Check out from the hotel and transfer to the railway station.
     • Board the afternoon/evening train back to Delhi. Lunch served onboard.

   • Evening:

     • Arrive in Delhi by late evening, marking the end of your journey.
