Itinerary

1. Day 1: Delhi to Agra via Mathura & Vrindavan

   • Early Morning Departure:

     • Start from Delhi around 6:00 AM.
     • Travel time to Mathura: Approximately 3–4 hours (180 km).

   • Mathura Visit:

     • Explore Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, believed to be Lord Krishna’s birthplace.
     • Visit the Dwarkadhish Temple with its intricate architecture.
     • Stroll along the Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna River.

   • Vrindavan Exploration:

     • Drive to Vrindavan (11 km from Mathura, about 30 minutes).
     • Visit famous temples:
       • Banke Bihari Temple: Known for its spiritual aura and grand deity of Lord Krishna.
       • ISKCON Temple: A serene temple with beautiful chants and bhajans.
       • Prem Mandir: A modern temple with exquisite carvings and light shows in the evening (optional).

   • Continue to Agra:

     • Drive to Agra (about 1.5 hours from Vrindavan, 65 km).
     • Check into a hotel and relax.
     • Evening leisure: Visit Mehtab Bagh for a view of the Taj Mahal during sunset (optional).
     • Overnight stay in Agra.

2. Day 2: Agra Sightseeing & Return to Delhi

   • Sunrise Visit to the Taj Mahal:

     • Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbol of love.
     • Best time for stunning views and fewer crowds.

   • Breakfast & Agra Fort Visit:

     • Return to the hotel for breakfast.
     • Visit the Agra Fort, a historic Mughal fort showcasing architectural brilliance.

   • Optional Sightseeing:

     • Explore the Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb (Baby Taj) or the Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra if time permits.

   • Shopping in Agra:

     • Shop for local handicrafts, marble inlay work, and leather goods in Agra's bustling markets.

   • Departure for Delhi:

     • Leave Agra by afternoon.
     • Travel time: Approximately 3–4 hours (230 km).
     • Arrive in Delhi by evening (7:00–8:00 PM).
