Itinerary

1. Pick-up and Introduction

   • The pickup point for this 2.5 private Battle of Arnhem walk is near the Arnhem Central Railway station, outside, in front of the McDonald.
   • The guide will introduce you to the Battle of Arnhem, tailored to your knowledge level.

2. Zwarteweg (Urquhart hideout)

   • Along with our guide, you will walk to the Zwarteweg (Urquhart hideout). 
   • The guide will share stories of what happened at the exact location at many stops along the way, including the Utrechtsestraat, Utrechtseweg, the ArteZ university, Museum Arnhem and the former Dt. Elisabeth Hospital.

3. John Frost bridge

   • After the stop at the Zwarteweg, the tour will continue back to the city - to the John Frost bridge, via the 'Onderlangs' road, in the footsteps of John Frost himself!
   • Of course, there will be some stops along this road, too, where the guide will share stories of the brave soldiers who fought and fell during the Battle of Arnhem. Photos taken during the Battle of Arnhem will help you get a good idea of what happened here in September 1944.

4. End of the tour

   • The end of this tour will be near the John Frostbrigde, where the guide will say his goodbyes. 
   • You can visit the Airborne at the Bridge museum (fee-free) or head into town (just a 5-minute walk). 
   • If you wish to return to the Arnhem Central Railway station, it will take about 15 minutes to walk, also through the city center.
