Day 1: Addis Ababa City tour
- Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide or driver from Eco Travel Ethiopia Tours and transferred to your hotel.
- If you arrive in the early morning, enjoy a leisurely rest before an afternoon sightseeing tour. Founded by Emperor Menelik II in 1887, Addis Ababa, meaning "New Flower" in Amharic, is a vibrant city filled with contrasts.
- Your city tour includes visits to the National Museum, home to the famous fossil "Lucy," and the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, the last emperor's main Ethiopian cathedral and resting place.
- You will also drive up Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of the city and end your day at Merkato, one of Africa's largest open-air markets.

Day 2: Drive to Arba Minch
- After breakfast, embark on a full-day drive south to Arbaminch, a region known for its rich cultural diversity.
- Your first stop will be Adadi Mariam Rock Church, believed to have been built by King Lalibela in the 11th century.
- Next, visit the Tiya stelae field, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring large stone pillars dating back 600 to 800 years, adorned with enigmatic symbols marking a prehistoric royal burial site.
- Continue through the territories of the Gurage and Alaba people, arriving in Arba Minch by late afternoon.
- You will be transferred to the luxurious Haile Resort for the evening.

Day 3: Boat trip on Lake Chamo and visit Dorze village
- In the morning, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Chamo, home to a large population of crocodiles, hippos, and fish.
- After crossing the lake, head to the eastern bank and climb to the Nech Sar National Park to see wild zebras and gazelles.
- Return to the boat for a visit to the famous Crocodile Market, where you can see a large concentration of Nile crocodiles and hippos. The lake, approximately 32 km long, provides a lush wetland habitat for diverse flora and fauna.
- In the afternoon, visit the Dorze tribe, known for their cotton-weaving techniques and beehive-shaped houses made entirely from organic materials.
- Here, you can observe their weaving skills and learn about their traditions.

Day 4: Drive to Turmi via Konso
- After breakfast, travel to Turmi, a small town central to the Omo Valley tribes.
- On the way, stop at Konso to visit their village, famous for its agricultural terracing and wooden totems honouring the dead. The Konso villages are recognized as a World Heritage site for their cultural significance, characterized by high stone walls surrounding separate compounds.
- After lunch, continue south through the acacia forest to Turmi. If it’s a market day, you may visit one of the colourful markets: Alduba (Tuesday), Keyafer (Thursday), or Dimeka (Saturday).
- Transfer to Turmi Lodge and enjoy the rest of your time.

Day 5: Hammer and Karo tribes
- This morning, embark on an excursion to the Karo tribe, known for their face and body painting, especially during dances and ceremonies. They use locally sourced white chalk, yellow mineral rock, red iron ore, and black charcoal for decoration, often mimicking the spotted plumage of a Guinea fowl. The men create elaborately decorated clay hair buns that can take days to complete.
- Return to Turmi and enjoy a short break after lunch before visiting the nearby Hamer tribe village. The Hamer are renowned for their fine pottery and striking hairstyles, with women adorned in colourful beaded goat skins, necklaces, and bangles that signify their husband's wealth.

Day 6: Excursion to Omorate and continue to Jinka
- Cross the Omo River to visit the Dassanech tribe. Omorate lies on the riverbank near the Kenyan border.
- You will cross the river by local boat and walk to a Dassanech village. This semi-nomadic tribe, known for their unique hair buns, stretches across Sudan, Kenya, and southern Ethiopia.
- After exploring, return to Turmi and continue south to Jinka.
- You will drive to the beautiful Eco Omo Lodge beside the Neri River and Mago National Park, surrounded by lush forests and nature.
- Spend the rest of the day enjoying the lodge and its surroundings.

Day 7: Mursi Tribe and Ari Villages
- This morning, drive through Mago National Park to visit a Mursi tribe village. The Mursi are famous for women who extend their lower lips with clay discs and men who engage in stick fighting rituals known as Donga.
- Afterwards, return to Jinka and, after a lunch break, take a short drive to the village of the Ari tribe. The Ari live in lush surroundings, growing coffee and fruits for trade and self-consumption. Their villages are surrounded by banana, mango, and avocado trees.

Day 8: Fly back to Addis and Departure
- In the morning, visit the Jinka Museum, which features cultural collections from the southern Omo research center, providing an in-depth overview of the various ethnic groups and traditions of the Omo Valley.
- Then, transfer to Jinka Airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa, arriving in the afternoon.
- In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a well-known local Ethiopian restaurant, complete with cultural dances.
- Later, you will be transferred to Bole Airport for your return flight home.
