Day 04 - Petra Visit – Little Petra – Wadi Rum Campsite
- After Breakfast, a full-day visit to Jordan's most famous attraction, the Nabatean city of Petra, which means "stone" in Greek. The city was the capital of the Nabateans—Arabs who dominated the lands of Jordan during pre-Roman times—and they carved this wonderland of temples, tombs, and elaborate buildings out of solid rock. The Victorian traveller and poet Dean Burgon gave Petra a description that holds to this day: "Match me such a marvel save in Eastern clime, a rose-red city half as old as time." Yet words can hardly do justice to the magnificence that is Petra.
- To best savour the atmosphere of this ancient wonder, visit in the quiet of the early morning or late afternoon when the sandstone rock glows red with quiet grandeur.
- Then, drive to visit Little Petra.
- Then, drive to Wadi Rum campsite to have a dinner meal at the campsite with the Oriental Night & overnight at the campsite.
-
Day 05 - Wadi Rum Desert by 04×04 Jeep - Madaba – Mount Nebo - Amman Hotel
- Breakfast, Drive to Wadi Rum, also known as The Valley of the Moon, is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan 60 km (37 mi) east of Aqaba, the largest Valley in Jordan. Rum most likely comes from an Aramaic root meaning 'high' or 'elevated'. To reflect its proper Arabic pronunciation, archaeologists transcribe it as Wadi Ramm. Wadi Rum has been inhabited by many human cultures since prehistoric times, with many cultures–including the Nabateans–leaving their mark in rock paintings, graffiti, and temples.
- Our trip to Wadi Rum will be by 04WD drive, then Drive to Visit Madaba. The town of Madaba was once a Moabite border city; during its rule by The Roman and Byzantine empires from the 2nd to the 7th centuries, the city formed part of the Provincia Arabia set up by the Roman Emperor Trajan to replace the Nabataean kingdom of Petra,
- Then, Proceed to Visit Mount Nebo, where Prophet Musa ( Moses ) was granted a view of the Holy Land. The view from the summit provides a panorama of the Holy Land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the River Jordan. The West Bank city of Jericho is usually visible from the summit, as is Jerusalem on a very clear day.
- Then, our Day will be finished at Amman Hotel
Dinner and overnight.
