Itinerary
-
Stop 01: Craigies Farm
- We will take you to this working farm where you can see the Highland Cows and have a go at feeding them carrots as treats. There's also a farm shop and cafe where you can grab a coffee and a bite to eat to take on the go.
-
Stop 02: Luss
- A 90-minute drive will take us to the 'footsteps' of the Highlands and the beautiful village of Luss on Loch Lomond banks, overlooking the Ben Lomond munro. Apart from stunning views of Luch Lomond, Luss is a place steeped in history, and here you can find an extremely rare Viking Hogback gravestone. There are a couple of gift shops, toilet facilities and places for refreshments.
-
Stop 03: Rest and Be Thankful
- Only 30 minutes away and at over 800 feet, this mountain viewpoint is an excellent stop for some beautiful photos of the stunning mountain scenery.
-
Stop 04: Inveraray Castle
- Only a 30-minute drive away is the iconic Inveraray Castle, one of the few castles in Scotland still used as a residence (Duke & Duchess of Argyle). This is the seat of the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell. Open Thursday to Monday, the castle grounds are freely open to the public (there is a charge if you wish to enter the castle), or there’s Inveraray town, which has plenty of options for lunch and views of Loch Fyne. The Castle closes for winter from November to March, but the grounds remain open.
-
Stop 05: Kilchurn Castle
- A 30-minute drive takes us to Kilchurn castle, used by the English army as a formidable barracks for over 200 years and surrounded by water on 3 sides – a great place for photos.
-
Stop 06: The Tree Sisters
- A 60-minute drive through the Glencoe mountain range will take us to the famous Three Sisters Viewpoint. This is the most photographed place in Scotland - and you will understand why once we get there! Full of breathtaking beauty and full of poignant history, this is a site you will never forget.
-
Stop 07: Rannoch Moor
- We will work our way back through Glencoe with multiple photo stops of the '3 sisters' and other fantastic photo stops, including Rannoch Moor - the largest bog expanse in the UK.
-
Stop 08: Loch Tulla Viewpoint
- In this beautiful viewpoint, you can take in all that the Highlands offer in a single place: mountains, lochs and forests.
-
Stop 09: The Kelpies
- Our last stop, approximately 90 minutes away, is the stunning Kelpies. These two horse statues, standing 100 feet tall, are the tallest equine statues in the world.
