Mafalala
- During the Portuguese occupation, Maputo had racial and social division, there were cement house with good conditions for Portuguese and reed houses with bad infrastructures, water and electricity supply for black Mozambicans.
- It was a home for the former presidents of state Samora Machel, Joaquim Chissano, Pascoal Mucumbi and the Portuguese all time best player Eusebio da Silva.
- The Sydney olimpic games gold winner Maria Mutola was discovered there.
- Mafalala during the Portuguese occupation apart from representing geographical division it also represented racial division, the division was marked by the road on Marien Nguambi avenue whereby in one side there were minor Portuguese people and on the other side black majority people with bad infrastructures, energy and water supply but it was also a place of opportunity for most Mozambicans who wanted to improve their lives and be known around the world. A part of the greatest writes, politicians, journalists, musicians, athletes, football players lived in Mafalala.

Maputo fortress
- It was turned into a military museum in 1955.
- There is a statue of Mouzinho de Albuquerque, Antonio Enes and a coffin of Ngungunhane ( the king of Gaza empire)

Maputo central station
- The station was opened on 19th March 1910 and It was ranked as the 3rd most beautiful railway station by USA magazine times in 2016.

Central market
- Opened in 1903 it's building is believed to be a replica of Aster Hall, a building in the German Town of Hamburg.
- You can buy fruits, cashew nuts, fish, meat, moringa, aromatic herbs and spices as well as handcraft and souvenirs.

Cathedral de Nossa Senhora da Coinceção
- It was designed by Engineer Marcial Freitas and was open 1944. The idea to build it was by the governor of Mozambique Sebastiao Jose Alves in 1930’s to expand the congregation of European Christians.
- It was visited by pope Joao II 1988.

Botanical garden
- It was built by Thomas Honey the entrance is shaped in the form of an archway built in the Manuelino architectural style.
- Within the gardens,there are different native and exotic plants and trees from Africa, Europe, Asia and South America.

Iron house
- It was built by Eiffel and was brought to to be the house of the general governor of Mozambique house.
- Now it is used as the National Directorate for Cultural heritage.

Natural history museum
- It was built to be a school 1911 and was converted into a museum in 1933.
- The building is inspired by the Manuelinho style( Gothic Portuguese) of the early twentieth century and it is located in Ponta Vermelha neighborhood;
- It displays many embalmed species Mozambican species and the famous BIG FIVE (Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Lion and Buffalo)
- The museum also possesses an important collection of antique sculptures representing ethnic groups of Mozambique.
- Its main attractions is the complete collection of elephant fetuses, showing the different months of gestations from the 1st up to the 22nd month which is considered to be the unique collection in the world.

FEIM - Handcraft Market
- There you can buy anything from handcraft of Maconde ethnic group, souvenirs, painted bird or a carved wooden head and test Mozambican traditional food.

Santo António da Polana Church
- It was built 1962 and the engineer Nuno Lopes.
- It was inspired on modern Brazilian architecture.
- It has a pyramidal structure in form of inverted flower some people say it looks like lemon squeezer.

- It is located along Costa de sol beach, there you will have opportunity to test sea food and enjoy the beach.
