Itinerary

1. Day 1: Addis Ababa - Gondar - Simien Mountains National Park

   • Fly from Addis Ababa to Gondar on Ethiopian Airlines.
   • Upon arrival, continue the journey by car to the Simien Mountains National Park for an afternoon of birding. Bird species that can be seen in the Simien Mountains are Chestnut-naped Francolin, Lanner Falcon, Lammergeier (Bearded Vulture), White-collared pigeon, and Abyssinian Longclaw.

   Overnight at a lodge.

2. Day 2: Simien Mountains - Gondar

   • Early morning birding in the Simien Mountains National Park.
   • Drive to Gondar with lunch en route.
   • Enjoy birding in the Gondar area and explore unique bird species such as the Gelada monkey, Ethiopian Wolf, and Walia Ibex.

   Overnight at hotel.

3. Day 3: Gondar - Bahar Dar

   • Morning departure from Gondar to Bahar Dar, stopping halfway at the lakeside town of Fogera for birding. Look for such species as Black-crowned Cranes, Little Stint, and Three-banded Plover.
   • Arrive at Bahar Dar for dinner and overnight.

4. Day 4: Bahar Dar - Lake Tana

   • Depart for Lake Tana in the morning.
   • Enjoy a day of birding on Lake Tana, where you can spot various water birds.
   • Return to Bahar Dar before evening.

5. Day 5: Departure

   • Fly to Addis Ababa to join another tour or check in for your next destination or international flight, where your tour concludes.
