Itinerary

1. Day 1: Quito - Jumandy Caves - Community Visit - Kawana Wildlife Reserve

   • Depart from Quito for a scenic drive towards the Amazon. Stop to take pictures of the Antisana Volcano along the route and visit additional attractions like hot springs and hummingbird spots.
   • Explore the Jumandy Caves, marvelling at crystal-clear waters and stunning rock formations.
   • Continue to the village of Misahualli for traditional cuisine and cultural immersion. Get the opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenic riverbanks of the Napo and Misahualli rivers, where playful monkeys roam freely.
   • Enjoy a canoe ride through Kawana Wildlife Reserve, spotting diverse wildlife and tropical birds.
   • Savour dinner at the Amazon Lodge.
   • Experience a night walk through the rainforest, guided by a Naturalist, to encounter various wildlife.

   Overnight stay at a lodge.

2. Day 2: Yanacocho Rescue Center - Pailón del Diablo - La Casa del Árbol - Baños walking tour - Return to Quito

   • 7:00 am - Start your day with an early birdwatching walk and encounter mahogany and kapok trees.
   • 8:00 am - After breakfast, continue the ride to Puyo (Pastaza province).
   • Upon arrival at the Yana Cocha Animal Rescue Center, discover a large turquoise lagoon where alligators and various other species reside.
   • Explore the breathtaking beauty of El Pailón del Diablo waterfall, an iconic natural marvel nestled in Ecuador's lush landscape. As you stand in awe before its cascading waters and intricate rock formations, immerse yourself in the raw energy and natural splendour that define this unforgettable destination.
   • On the famous Waterfall Route, you can book additional adventure sports such as zip lining, bungee jumping, canopy tours, and more. Feel free to ask our guide if you'd like to stop and enjoy these optional activities.
   • Soar across the big canyon on the Waterfall Route via cable car.
   • Ascend 2660 meters above sea level to La Casa del Árbol and experience the famous Swing at the End of the World. This swing has become a must-visit attraction, providing stunning views of the volcano and the city of Baños.
   • The last visit of our journey is Baños City, where you can explore its rich cultural heritage through charming streets lined with churches, bustling local markets, and opportunities to savour traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Discover the vibrant essence of this town as you immerse yourself in its local traditions and flavours.
   • On the route from Baños to Quito, weather permitting, we may stop to admire the Cotopaxi Active Volcano from the Pan-American Highway.
   • The tour concludes in Quito city or at the airport.
