Join me on a fun-filled trip as we head further southwest from Wrocław to discover the secrets of Owl Mountains— a fine renaissance-baroque marvel in Ksiaz Castle - where Polish monarchs and dukes once resided.
The to-be headquarters of Hitler during WW2 underwent several changes, and tunnels were dug; apparently, Hitler never made it here. After undergoing several make-and-break, the restored wall tapestries in the Baroque salons and rooms, a beautiful courtyard, and underground tunnels are a sight to behold. Located 80 km (1h 15min drive) from Wrocław, Ksiaz is Poland's 3rd largest castle, also referred to as the "Pearl of Lower Silesia". Underground City Osowka.
In the middle of 1943, Osowka was created as a huge system of concrete corridors, fortifications and halls. 1h drive(32 km) through the scenic Owl Mountains of Lower Silesia this work was purposefully kept secret. Sources claim it was to-be Adolf Hitler’s secret headquarters. Others say these halls were built for underground armament factories designated to produce secret weapons.

Tour Of Ksiaz Castle & Underground Osowka City
- Starting from Wrocław Centre (pick-up location can be established) at 8:30 am. (flexible)
- Pick-up from the hotel is available in a 3 km radius of the centre.
- Arrival at Ksiaz Castle in 1.5 hours. Guided tour of the castle with an audio guide.
Note - the castle does not allow private guides to commence tours on castle premises. An audio guide price is included in the tour cost. It is possible to hire an English-speaking guide at an extra cost.
- Upto 4.5 hours for the castle tour and Pamiarnia.
- Quick break.
- One hour drive to Osowka.
