- As you meander through the oldest and most famous section of New Orleans, you’ll come to know our resident ghosts and the reasons they stay with us. Founded in 1718 and known as a necropolis, there has been no shortage of death in New Orleans and nowhere more so than the French Quarter. That leaves us with more than a few long-term spirits. They remain within the walls they live in, and they frequent the streets.
- On this two-hour tour, you won’t just hear the tired old ghost stories every tour company tells. You will hear rare stories from those whose ancestors lived them. To know our ghosts is to know our history. It’s a sorted tale of more than three centuries of drama, making us one of the most Haunted Cities in America.
- The tour departs at 710 Saint Louis Street in front of Sweet Saint Ice Cream Shop and ends near Jackson Square.
