It is said that New Orleans cemeteries are unique in the “recycling and rotation” of loved ones in our family tombs. Room for two coffins doesn’t stop us from burying hundreds in that same spot. Some think we are macabre, but are we? On a cemetery tour with DuPont and Company, you will personally shown to explore one of our Cities of the Dead, as they are called. You are invited to visit actual family tombs while your tour guide explains the burial procedures, the traditions and the stories of those interred. We keep the light on for our ancestors by telling their stories. Your guide will be a New Orleanian that has ancestors buried in the cemetery you visit. Come along on this visitation. You'll walk among the dead and leave feeling more alive than ever.
