Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and visit Kigali city

   • Arrive in Kigali, Explore the city and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial 
   • Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

   • Depart for Kisoro town near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. 
   • Check into your accommodation and spend your afternoon at leisure.

3. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking at Mgahinga Forest

   • Early morning trek to encounter the mountain gorillas.
   • Spend time observing and learning about the gorillas.
   • Return to your accommodation for relaxation.

4. Day 4: Golden Monkey Trek and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

   • Report at the park office by 8 am for briefing.
   • Join a team of park rangers and embark on a forest walk.
   • Meet these unique habitats and observe the playful and endangered primates 
   • in their natural habitat as they move through the bamboo forests.
   • showcasing their distinctive golden fur and lively behaviour. 
   • After an hour, walk out of the forest. 
   • Have a lunch break, then drive to Lake Bunyonyi for 2 -3 hours.

5. Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi Tour, Batwa community Visit and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

   • Enjoy a relaxing morning at Lake Bunyonyi.
   • Visiting the Batwa people. interact with this indigenous community,
   • Transfer to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

6. Day 6: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

   • Morning game drive, return and have a lunch break at your lodge.
   • Embark on an afternoon boat tour on the Kazinga Channel.
   • Head for an evening game drive.
   • Return to your lodge for dinner and a night's stay.

7. Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking at Kalinzu Forest and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

   • Embarking on early morning chimpanzees, white colobus monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys tracking at the Forest.
   • Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a lunch break in Mbarara. 
   • Arrive at your lodge and enjoy your evening at leisure.

8. Day 8: Morning Walking Safari in Lake Mburo National Park and Transfer to Kigali/ Entebbe

   • Explore the park's diverse landscapes and wildlife on foot. 
   • Observe various animals while learning about the park's ecosystem. This is a more intimate and immersive experience in the heart of the African wilderness.
   • After the walking safari, transfer back to Kigali for departure.
