Formed by the Teuchitlán culture, the site is known for its curious “round pyramid” structures. Visit the prehispanic archaeological site of circular stepped pyramids of Guachimontones.
Proceed to see the city's central squares. These squares are connected, easy to get around, and arranged in the form of a cross. Plaza de Armas is one of the central squares.
Continue to the Church of the Ascension.
End the tour by at the Archaeological Museum in the Casa de la Cultura, the most senior local museum in the province.
