- Start your tour from your hotel in Malindi/Watamu with a visit to the Gede Ruins, which lie in the southern part of Malindi, nestled in a thick forest.
- The Gede Ruins remain a hidden secret. While at the Gede ruins, you will find old ruined houses, palaces, courtrooms, wells, and a mosque built with plaster, sand and coral in the 15th Century.
- Visit the National Museum, which has displays of excavated glass, Persian and porcelain.
- Thereafter, proceed to Malindi Swahili Town. You will come across the stone known as the Vasco da Gama Pillar, which was placed by Vasco da Gama back in 1499. Here, you will also have a chance to see the Portuguese church next to the pillar.
- Visit the Snake Farm, which houses the largest collection of reptiles such as snakes in East Africa. On this day, you won’t miss out on this beautiful destination known as Falconry Farm which is home to collection of birds such as eagles, Falcons, Owls, Peckers and many other birds.
