Cotopaxi National Park
Pick up from hotel at 8:00 am and drive towards the volcano area. This drive will take around 2 hours to reach the gate of Cotopaxi National Park.
Stop at the interpretation area (3,600 metres above sea level) and continue towards a small lake, situated nearby.
Stop at 3,880 metres above sea level. Go on a short walk, followed by drive to a parking lot (4,580 metres above sea level).
Climb towards the refuge (4,864 metres above sea level). Here, take a short break to eat and relax and continue climbing up towards the glacier (5,000 metres above sea level).
Hike down the hill to the parking lot area.
Drop-off at hotel.
