Itinerary
-
Day 1: You Know You Just Arrived Somewhere Special
- Our tour starts in the town of Krabi. More specifically, from the airport, we are taken to the coastal village of Ao Nang.
- Along with serving as a good introduction to Southern Thailand as well as offering some fun nightlife, Ao Nang acts as a base from which to explore the surrounding exotic islands.
-
Day 2: Limestone Peaks And Caves Approached by Water or via Rock Climbing
- As an excursion, we explore the tropical surroundings by boat. Specifically, we visit Tub Island, Chicken Island, Poda Island and Pranang Cave.
- This region of Thailand is famous for its limestone peaks, both on land and in the sea. The limestone hills contain many caves, most having stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch and snorkeling are included on today’s tour.
- An alternative to doing a boat tour of the greater Ao Nang area is to make a daytrip solely to a beach called Railay.
- There you can go rock climbing. Ask us for details. Note that children under 5 years old are not allowed to go rock climbing.
-
Day 3: Time to Go Phi Phi
- We relocate by boat from Ao Nang to Koh Phi Phi Island. There we take a private long-tailed boat tour.
- Specifically, we explore Pileh Bay, Maya Bay, Loh Sama Bay, Monkey Beach and Viking Cave.
- The area features beaches and clear water that have had their natural beauty protected by national park status.
- Tourism here exploded since the filming of the movie “The Beach.” Today, the Phi Phi Islands are one of Thailand's most famous destinations.
- Snorkeling gear (mask and tube) is included on today’s tour. In the evening, we enjoy the buzzing nightlife on this car-free island.
-
Day 4: Watching the Sunset, a Cooking Class, Dinner And the Buzzing Nightlife of Bangla Road
- We relocate by boat from Koh Phi Phi Island to the resort town of Phuket. There we check out the famous Patong Beach, then watch the sunset from Cape Phrom Thep and then head to a Thai restaurant.
- At this restaurant, we are taught how traditional food is prepared as well as have dinner.
- The combination of tasty cuisine, rich culture and good company creates an unforgettable experience.
- The later evening is all about partying. Some of the most buzzing nightlife on Earth can be found in Phuket, specifically on Bangla Road.
- There we are provided with a guided tour. Expect music, bars, clubs, promoters, dancers, food carts and even massage chairs all packed into one long pedestrian street.
-
Day 5: James Bond’s Home, a World-Renowned Film And Sailing the Seas
- We make a daytrip via an organized boat tour to Phang Nga Bay. Limestone cliffs with caves, collapsed cave systems and archaeological sites are found in the bay.
- The most famous of the many islands is the so-called James Bond Island. It was featured in the movie “The Man with the Golden Gun.”
- Lunch and canoeing through caves and lagoons are included on today’s tour.
-
Day 6: An Archipelago Featuring Bizarre Rock Formations
- When relocating by land from Phuket town to Khao Sok National Park, we make a long stop in a coastal area called Khao Lak.
- It is from here we make a day trip via an organized boat tour to the Similan Islands.
- This is a national park/archipelago consisting of 11 islands. The archipelago is famous for its rock formations. Lunch and snorkeling are included on today’s tour.
- Note that the Similan Islands boat tour operates only November through April. Outside of this season, they are replaced with a tour of Phuket Island, specifically Phuket Viewpoint, a temple called Wat Chaithararam and Phuket’s old town.
-
Day 7: Scrubbing Wildlife in the River and Going on a Canoe Safari
- As an excursion from Khao Sok National Park, we head to Phang Nga Elephant Park. There we bathe an elephant in the river.
- We also go on a canoe safari along the Sok River, with majestic mountains surrounding us. Lunch is included on today’s tour.
-
Day 8: The Country's Postcard Perfect Lake, Best Explored by Boat
- We make a daytrip by land from Khao Sok National Park to Cheow Lan Lake (a.k.a. Rajjaprabha Dam Reservoir).
- There we are provided with a full-day tour. Cheow Lan is inhabited by a range of mammals such as tigers, elephants, tapirs and many monkey species.
- It is also arguably Thailand's prettiest lake. Included on today’s tour are lunch, a boat ride around the lake and a visit to a water cave.
-
Day 9: Southern Thailand’s Other Major Destination, Koh Samui
- Today we relocate from Khao Sok National Park first by land and then by boat to Koh Samui Island.
- There we see the viewpoint in Lad Koh, Lamai Beach and its famous rocks, Wat Khunaram Temple, the Mummified Monk, the Secret Waterfall and the Big Buddha.
- Nightlife-rich Koh Samui Island also serves as a base from which to make boat daytrips.
-
Day 10: A Breathtaking Panorama of 42 Islands
- We make a daytrip via an organized boat tour to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, which covers 42 islands.
- Most of the islands are close to each other, making a breathtaking panorama when sailing around the park.
- All the islands are of different sizes and shapes. Most of them are covered with tropical forests. Lunch, snorkeling and kayaking inside caves are included on today’s tour.
-
Day 11: A Viewpoint to a Natural Attraction Too Perfect to Look Real
- We make a daytrip first to Ko Tao Island and then to Ko Nang Yuan Island.
- Popular at Ko Tao is hiking to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view, which is quite stunning.
- The highlight around Ko Nang Yuan Island is snorkeling. Snorkeling gear, the mountain hike and lunch are included on today’s tour.
-
Day 12: Our Tour Ends This Morning
