Exploring Arequipa's Sillar Route
- The excursion starts with the pick-up from the hotel (near or inside the historic center) at 8:50 a.m.
- We will head towards the Sillar Route, but first, we will stop at a viewpoint where we can observe the two volcanoes surrounding the city of Arequipa.
- We will continue the tour until we reach the Añashuayco Quarry, where we will see the process of working this stone and its carving.
- We will leave the Añashuayco Quarry, and after about 30 minutes, we will find the Quebrada de Culebrillas. The water canyon invites us to admire its walls, which are up to 20 meters high, and we will enter it for a walk of about 20 minutes. Let's explore! Our last stop on the Ruta del Sillar will be to discover the petroglyphs of the canyon.
