Explore troglodyte villages, the island of Djerba, and marvel at El Jem's Roman coliseum before concluding your expedition in Hammamet.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tunisia
- Upon arrival in Tunisia, you will meet with a tour representative. They will assist you in clearing any formalities or customs.
- Afterward, they will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Discovering Tunis
- After breakfast, head to the old medina of Tunis (A cultural tour, not a shopping one).
- Stroll in its narrow alleys and admire its architecture.
- Learn more about the old medina with your travel guide and visit its must-see attractions: Zitouna mosque, medresas, Kasbah boulevard, etc.
- Head to the military museum and visit to learn more about Tunisian history.
- Continue to La Goulette and enjoy a grilled fish meal.
- At 2:30 PM, head to Carthage, the Roman city, and visit its different components: Byrsa hill, Antonine baths, Punic sanctuary, etc.
- Enjoy free time to stroll in Sidi Bou Said, the blue and white village dominating the bay of Tunis and offering a unique view.
- Finally, head back to your hotel.

Day 3: Dougga and Kairouan
- After breakfast, start your day with a drive to the northwest of Tunisia.
- Make a stop to visit the archaeological site of Utica, considered one of the oldest cities in the western Mediterranean basin, founded by the Phoenicians in 1101 BC.
- Next stop will be in the Andalusian town of Testour.
- Stroll through the alleys and admire the Andalusian architecture.
- Discover the minaret of the Great Mosque of Testour, equipped with a unique clock in the world where its hands rotate counterclockwise and the numbers are placed upside down.
- Continue to Dougga, the most prestigious archaeological site in Tunisia, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
- Enjoy mid-day lunch at a 3* hotel (you pick your menu, but it is famous for its wild boar). After the meal, head to Kairouan, the holy city.
- Arrive and visit its old medina (UNESCO World Heritage).
Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 4: Exploring Kairouan and Tozeur
- Spend the day with a visit to the Great Mosque of Kairouan and the Barber Mausoleum (Sidi Sahbi).
- Our knowledgeable guide will share stories behind the construction of the two sites you will be visiting.
- Head to Tozeur through Gafsa, with mid-day lunch on the way at a local restaurant.
- Arrive in Tozeur and visit its old medina. Depending on the day, there will be a possibility of a carriage tour to visit the city’s oldest palm grove (extra).
- In the evening, return to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Mountain Oases and Night in a Tent
- After breakfast, depart to visit the superb mountain oases of Chebika.
- Head to Tamerza and visit its famous waterfall.
- Discover the great canyons of Mides.
- Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant with the locals, savoring a typical Tunisian menu. After lunch, head directly to the sandy village of Sabria.
- Cross the salt lake of Chott Djerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa (photo break).
- Visit Debebecha, the petrified sand site.
- Experience the sunset over the sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see. There's a possibility of a camel ride to watch the sunset in the heart of the dunes (extra).
- At 7:30 p.m., attend the demonstration of the preparation of sand bread (bread baked under sand and embers).
- Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by a musical evening around the campfire, included in our package.
Overnight stay in a tent under the stars.

Day 6: Troglodyte Village and Chenini
- After breakfast, depart to Matmata, the Berber village.
- Stop and taste a good rosemary tea along the way.
- Visit a homestay cave house where you will be greeted with tea, olive oil, and honey served with home-brewed hand.
- Discover these houses dug underground and this way of life, and admire the generosity and modesty of these cave dwellers.
- Continue to the Berber village of Toujane and enjoy a photo stop.
- Head to Chenini, another Berber village, and visit its different components, including houses dug horizontally in the mountain and the mosque.
- Visit the seven dormant mosques of Chenini and learn about its legend.
Go to your accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 7: Exploring the Island of Djerba
- After breakfast, depart for Djerba.
- Make a photo stop at the salt lake of Chahbania, also known as ‘Sabkhet El Melah’.
- Upon arrival in Djerba, head to Guellela, the pottery village.
- Visit the traditions museum of Guellela and learn more about the island's traditions and habits.
- Visit a local workshop and assist in a pottery-making demonstration.
- Stop at the port harbor to see the pirate ship.
- Enjoy mid-day lunch at a local restaurant. Visit "The Gharib," the oldest Jewish synagogue in northern Africa.
- Stroll through the alleys of Djerba Hood: an urban art event where artists worldwide take over the Tunisian village of Erriadh on the island of Djerba to produce 250 works for the occasion, launched by the Galerie Itinerrance de Paris in June 2014.
- Continue to Houmt Souk, the city center, and enjoy free time to stroll through its narrow alleys.
Head to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: El Jem and Hammamet
- Depart for El Jem through the highway.
- Upon arrival in El Jem, have a mid-day lunch.
- After your lunch, visit the Roman coliseum of El Jem.
- Visit the El Jem museum.
- Continue to Hammamet and settle at your hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Cap Bon Discovery
- Visit Haouaria.
- Visit the Punic caves and Kerkouan, the Punic archaeological city.
- Continue to Korbous, the balneary station known for its hot water springs. There's a possibility of swimming in one of the hot springs or enjoying a Hammam and a cure at one of the stations there.
- Head directly to the airport, marking the end of our services.
