Osaka Umeda Drinking & Dining Tour: Explore Local Stands and Izakayas
- Meet your tour guide at Hotel Granavia Osaka, 1st floor/ground floor directly connected to JR Osaka Station. When you enter the automatic door on the 1st floor/ground floor, there is an elevator hall. The Japanese person in charge will wait for you in this elevator hall, holding a red sign.
- You will begin your tour at Shin Umeda Shokudougai, an old restaurant area that first opened its doors in 1950. Here, you can enjoy kushikatsu at the standing bar.
- Take a walk around the restaurant district near Hankyu Umeda Station to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Umeda at night.
- You will be guided to a popular area on the other side of Umeda that is beloved by locals. Once you arrive, you will be taken to an izakaya specialising in okonomiyaki, a delicious Japanese dish. This izakaya has been a local favourite for a long time, so you can confidently enjoy authentic Osaka-style okonomiyaki.
