Join us to understand the essentials of Transylvania, the best and most popular tourist attractions, its history, culture and gastronomy. Old towns, castles, fortresses, the most charming villages and scenic drives are part of this tour in Transylvania. Highlights: Brasov, Sighisoara, Sibiu, Bran castle, Saxon fortified churches and many more. It is a great short break tour of Transylvania. In a limited time, just four days, we include as many visits as possible and offer you a great experience of Transylvania. Our trip focuses on the so-called Classic Triangle of Transylvania, the area of Brasov – Sighisoara – Sibiu. These are the best three old towns, and in their surroundings, we have an important number of castles, fortresses, the famous Saxon fortified churches, beautiful villages, etc. The area has excellent landscapes over the Carpathian mountains and the spectacular hills and woods.
Itinerary

Day 1- BUCHAREST – BRAN - BRASOV
- In the morning, meet with our guide at your hotel in Bucharest or at the airport (for flights arriving up to 11.00). Note: on request we can include extra nights and travel services in Bucharest.
- Continue your Transylvania tour with a visit to the famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, the castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola.. The first documents about Bran Castle appeared in 1377. After the Bran Castle visit, you can spend some time for souvenirs shopping and then leave
- End the day in Brasov with a visit to the medieval center of Brasov, The main sites are Council Square, Black Church, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate, St Nicholas Church, The Rope’s Street, etc. The city of Brasov has its origins back to the 13th century, and it was one of the most important trade centres and one of the most fortified towns. Part of the medieval buildings can still be seen on our tour.
- We'll end the day going back to Brasov driving on the fast road if you want to spend more time in tne city or on the slower countryside road to pass picturesque mountain villages..
Overnight in Brasov. Accommodation is at Bella Muzica Hotel *** or something similar in the Old Town.

Day 2- Saxon Heritage Tour: BRASOV - PREJMER – VISCRI – RUPEA - SIGHISOARA - BRASOV
- Breakfast. Depart from Brasov to explore the Saxon heritages from the area. First stop at Prejmer Fortified Church (UNESCO), one of the best preserved of its kind in Eastern Europe. Dating since the 13th century, it is a great sample of a mix of religious and defensive structures. Built to be a shelter for the local communities, the fortified churches are characteristic of southern Transylvania and were part of the regional defensive system. Almost every village in the area had a type of fortification. The most important ones are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
- Next, we’ll drive to one of the most charming Transylvanian villages – Viscri. The village preserves the authentic architecture of the houses, old way of life, traditions and crafts. It is considered a great sample of the Saxon / German Heritage of Transylvania. Enjoy a walk through the village and visit the Viscri Fortified church.
- We’ll continue to Rupea Fortress, an impressive citadel with three concentric fortified walls and 3 interior precincts.
- In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at Sighisoara, the best-preserved medieval town of Transylvania. The main sights: Clock Tower and History Museum, the Birthplace of Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), Covered stairs, Church on the Hill, towers and fortifications. Enjoy a walk on the narrow streets paved with river stones. Sighisoara is a must see place for any traveller having a tour in Romania.
- Return to Brasov.

Day 3- BRASOV - SIBIU – SIBIEL – BRASOV
- Breakfast. We’ll drive in the morning to Sibiu. The city of Sibiu it was the biggest medieval town of Transylvania S and today is one of the most popular tourist sights. Highlights: Big Square, Little Square, Orthodox and Lutheran-Evangelical Cathedrals, Liars bridge, medieval wall, etc. Sibiu is a vibrant city with a charming old town and a walk will reveal parts of the local history and culture. It is considered one of the European most romantic places to live and visit.
- At lunch time we’ll drive you to the villages from the Sibiu's surroundings, places with a long history and tradition. The best way to discover village life is to go a trip by horse driven wagon. Enjoy the sightseeing and the village architecture.. Then we’ll serve a home-made traditional lunch in a local family guesthouse. It is also the chance to see a typical Transylvanian household and to see how a peasant family lives.
- Return to Brasov.

Day 4- BRASOV – SINAIA – BUCHAREST
- Breakfast. Leave Brasov on the way to Bucharest.
- Stop on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian kings. Peles Castle is considered one of the best castles in Europe and one of the most modern buildings of its time.
- Drop off at the airport or a hotel in Bucharest – Approx 2.00 PM.
