Itinerary

1. Day 1: Johannesburg - Kimberley

   • 0800 - Depart from Johannesburg to Kimberly for some 5 hr 44 min (546,2 km) via N12. Lunch along the way.
   • 1500 - Depart for about 46 min (52,0 km) via R31 to Mattanu Private Game Reserve.
   • 1530 - Check in at Mattanu Private Game Reserve at the Safari Tented Accommodation.
   • 1700 - Depart for an afternoon game drive, which includes a sundowner stop with drinks and snacks as well as a Bush Dinner in the Boma - Private Bush Dinner in the camelthorn tree Boma. Return to the Lodge and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Kimberley

   • 0800 - After breakfast, depart for Kimberly, The Big Hole, the largest hand-dug excavation in the world, dating back to the discovery of diamonds in 1867.
   • 1100 depart for McGregor Museum. The Museum traces the history of the region, including the South African War. Shopping around town.
   • 1300 lunch at in Galeshewe Township - Cultural Cuisine
   • 1400 depart to the Flamingo Dam to view a flamboyant Flamingos
   • 1600 depart to Mattanu Private Game Reserve.
   • Depart for afternoon quad rides take place at 1800-1930 and include a sundowner stop with drinks and snacks as well as a 3-course dinner at the lodge.

3. Day 3: Kimberly to Beaufort West

   • At 0700, have breakfast, and depart Diamond City-Kimberly for Beaufort West, which takes about 5hr 46 min (539.7 km) via N12.
   • Lunch in Beaufort West and shopping
   • Depart for about 7 min (5.1 km) via N1/N12.
   • 1600 - Check in at Karoo National Park, relax, have supper and depart for a night drive in search of lions for three hours. Night Drive (1½ hours).

4. Day 4: Beaufort West To Oudtshoorn

   • 0500 - Depart for an early Morning Guided Drive (2-3 hours)
   • 0800 - Return to the lodge to freshen up and have breakfast.
   • 0900 - Depart for a Fossil Trail - This 400m long trail depicts the geology and palaeontology of the great karoo by displaying genuine fossils and petrified wood along the paved walkway, which is accessible to wheelchair users.
   • 1100 - Checkout and depart Karoo National Park to Oudtshoorn for about 1hr 59 min (182.1 km) via N12.
   • Visit an ostrich farm, Cango Wildlife Ranch, and lunch.
   • Sleepover at Oudtshoorn.

5. Day 5: Cango Caves

   • 0800 - After breakfast, visit the Cango Caves and continue our journey via George to Swellendam, a town with lots of historical buildings and known for its beauty of architecture.
   • Lunch and overnight in Swellendam.

6. Day 6: Wine Country Tour

   • 0800 - After breakfast, check out and travel through the wine country and visit a wine farm with lunch.
   • Arrive in Cape Town, settle in at a lovely Guest House and relax for the rest of the day.

7. Day 7: Houtbay - Seal Island

   • 0800 - after breakfast, depart for Houtbay (Seal Island), Simons Town (Penguin colony), the Cape Point (Cape Peninsula Reserve), and lunch.
   • 1900 - Return to the Lodge

8. Day 8: Robben Island

   • 0700 finish breakfast and visit Robben Island
   • Table Mountain with the cable car, along with lunch.
   • Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.

9. Day 9: Victoria & Albert Waterfront

   • 0700 Breakfast and depart for Bok-Kaap Museum and the Castle of Good Hope.
   • Depart for Victoria & Albert Waterfront.
   • Lunch and Shopping at Victoria & Albert Waterfront.
   • Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight.

10. Day 10: Cape Town to Johannesburg

    • 0700 Breakfast and depart to Johannesburg for about 15 hr 11 min via N1 and N1. Lunch along the way.
    • Check in at the hotel, have dinner and relax.

11. Day 11: Soweto, Hector Pieterson Museum, Apartheid Museum, and Departure

    • 0800 - Checkout after breakfast and depart for Apartheid Museum.
    • 1100 - Depart for Hector Pieterson Museum.
    • 1230 - Depart for the legendary Vilakazi Street; this street was once home to not one but TWO Nobel Peace Prize Winners – Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Tata Nelson Mandela; see Mandela House Museum, enjoy dancing and performances by locals along the street, and purchase souvenirs.
    • Lunch at one of the finest restaurants, and depart for Sandton Mandela Square for shopping around.
    • 1700 - Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport.
