Itinerary

1. Day 1: City Arrival and Cultural Exploration

   • 07:00 - Pick-up at Hosea Kutako International Airport by Merakeng Tours & Adventures (8 Pax).
   • 08:45 - Check-in at Kalahari Sun Hotel, followed by breakfast, rest, and/or a walkabout around the city.
   • 12:00 - Depart for lunch at Xwama Traditional Restaurant.
   • 13:00 - Continue the journey to visit Prehistoric Elephant Relics, Sites of Veneration, and the Heroes Acre War Memorial. The Heroes' Acre is an official war memorial located approximately 10 kilometres south of the city centre of Windhoek. Visit the National Art Gallery, Craft market, Trans Namib Museum, and enjoy some shopping around town.
   • 17:30 - Check in at the Kalahari Sun Hotel, take showers, and then proceed to dinner.

   Overnight stay at Kalahari Sun Hotel.

2. Day 2: Safari Adventure Begins

   • 06:30-07:00 - Freshen up, have breakfast and check out.
   • 07:00 - Depart for about 433.8 km (4h18min) via B1 and C38 to Etosha National Park.
   • 12:00 - Arrive and check in at Okaukuejo Camp in Etosha National Park. The camp is the oldest tourist camp in Etosha and serves as the administrative center of the park. Okaukuejo is also home to the Etosha Ecological Institute. The premier waterhole chalets are popular accommodations, offering views of the floodlit waterhole at Okaukuejo. The camp overlooks a permanent waterhole, floodlit at night, attracting a diverse array of wildlife. From dawn until late at night, various animals, including lions, rhinos, elephants, and antelope, gather and interact. Lunch, relax at the rest camp, and observe animals at the famous Okaukuejo-Etosha Waterhole throughout the day and night.

3. Day 3: Elephants and Sunset Safari

   • 05:00-07:00 - View animals at the waterhole.
   • 07:00-08:30 - Freshen up, have breakfast and check out.
   • 09:00 - Depart from Okaukuejo - Etosha to Mokuti Lodge - Etosha, covering about 144.5 km (2h29min) via C38 to Etosha National Park.
   • 12:00 - Arrive, check in at Mokuti Lodge, have lunch, view animals, and relax at the lodge.
   • 16:30 - Depart for a 3-hour sunset drive in search of elephants and other big three animals in the park (as Etosha does not feature buffalos).
   • 19:30-22:00 - Enjoy a Boma dinner under the stars – a safari tradition involving sitting around the fire, savouring a slow-cooked meal, and storytelling. 
   • Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Himba Culture and Desert Exploration

   • 06:00-06:30 - Freshen up, have breakfast and check out.
   • 06:30 - Depart from Mokuti Lodge for about 319.4 km (4h30min) via C38 to Otjikandero Himba Cultural Village in Kamanjab.
   • 11:00 - Arrive at Otjikandero Himba Cultural Village, Kamanjab. Witness a piece of tradition preserved through time in the tribal ways of the people at Himba Orphan Village. Visitors have the chance to interact with the Himba people through a local English-speaking guide, observing their outfits and daily routines and shopping for handicrafts made to trade with tourists. The project aims to help people preserve their ways without succumbing to the modern lifestyle, with some profit going towards their protection.
   • 12:30-13:30 - Depart for about 1.1 km (2 min) via C40 to Oppi-Koppi Rest Camp for lunch.
   • 13:30 - Depart for about 115.2 km (1h48min) via C40 to Palmwag Nature Reserve.
   • 15:30 - Arrive at Palmwag Nature Reserve, check-in, and relax at the lodge.
   • 16:00 - Depart for a Guided Desert Walk.
   • 19:00 - Return to the lodge, have supper, and overnight.

5. Day 5: Desert Wildlife Excursion

   • 05:00 - Depart for a morning Desert Guide Game Drive in search of desert elephants, rhinos, and other desert animals.
   • 08:00 - Freshen up, then have breakfast.
   • 10:00 - Depart for the Natural History Museum, have lunch, and then embark on a day game drive in search of desert animals.
   • 16:00 - Depart for a desert sundowner game drive, including beverages and a snack platter.
   • 20:00 - Return to the lodge and overnight.

6. Day 6: Rock Engravings and Ameib Farm

   • 06:00-06:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
   • 06:30 - Depart for about 108.4 km (1h32min) via C39 and C35 to Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings.
   • 08:30 - Arrive at Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings, officially known as │Ui-Ais, a site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region.
   • 11:30 - Depart for about 143.4 km (2h3min) via D2612 and C35 to Erongo Ameib Farm.
   • 13:30 - Lunch at Montis-Usti Restaurant.
   • 14:30 - Depart Uis for about 162.2 km via D1930 to Erongo.
   • 17:00 - Check in at Erongo Ameib Farm Lodge, relax, freshen up, have supper, and overnight.

7. Day 7: San Cave Experience and Rhino Safari

   • 07:00-07:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
   • 06:30 - Drive to the cave and walk to Phillipp’s Cave, a San dwelling, and experience the cave. The numerous rock paintings in the Erongo Mountains provide evidence that thousands of years ago, the ancestors of today’s San lived in the area. The Erongo Mountains, especially during the dry winter months, offer a reliable water supply due to impermeable granite pans, filled during the rainy season. Consequently, the area has always had rich wildlife, another reason for the Bushmen to inhabit the area. In the rocky Erongo, the San mainly lived in caves or crevices.
   • 13:00 - Return to the lodge.
   • 13:30 - Lunch.
   • 15:30 - Depart for a game drive in search of Black Rhinos.
   • 18:00 - Return to the lodge, freshen up, have supper, and overnight.

8. Day 8: Relaxation by the Pool

   • 06:00-06:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
   • 06:30 - Depart for about 516.0 km (5h16min) via B2 and B1 to Mariental Hardap Recreation Resort.
   • 13:00 - Arrive at Hardap Recreation Resort and have lunch at the restaurant.
   • 14:30 - Relax by the swimming pool and enjoy spa treatment.
   • 19:00 - Have supper and overnight.

9. Day 9:Fish River Canyon Adventure

   • 06:30-07:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
   • 07:30 - Depart for about 518.1 km (4h58) via B1 to Ai/Ais Fish River Canyon Park.
   • 12:30 - Check-in at Ai/Ais Fish River Canyon Resort.
   • 13:00 - Lunch at the Resort.
   • 14:00 - Depart for Fish River Canyon Trail.
   • 16:30 - Return to the lodge and enjoy the hot springs/swimming pool.
   • 18:30 - Have dinner and overnight.

10. Day 10: Cederberg and Rock Art

    • 06:00-06:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
    • 06:30 - Depart for about 580.2 km (5h52min) via N7 to Clan Williams Cederberg.
    • 13:00 - Arrive at Clan Williams-Cederberg and check in at Ukholo Lodge, then have lunch.
    • 14:00 - Depart for Sevilla Rock Art Trails, Cederberg Private Cellar.
    • 18:00 - Return to the lodge and overnight.

11. Day 11: Winelands Tour and Tasting

    • 06:30-07:30 - Freshen up, have breakfast and check out.
    • 07:30 - Depart for about 225.0 km (2h33min) via N7 through the scenic route, the fruit and wheat route of the Western Cape Province, to Stellenbosch. Check-in at the Spier Hotel, have lunch and depart for a half-day Winelands tour with tasting.
    • 12:30 - Return to the lodge, have supper, and overnight.

12. Day 12: Table Mountain and Waterfront

    • 06:00-06:30 - Have breakfast and check out.
    • 06:30 - Depart for about 50.3 km (but take approximately 3-4 hours due to heavy traffic).
    • 10:00 - Check in at Pinelands Hotel and depart to take on the spectacular Cableway up Table Mountain for a panoramic view over the city and Robben Island.
    • 13:00 - Depart for Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, have lunch, and tour the Waterfront.
    • 19:00 - Return to the hotel, freshen up, have supper, and overnight.

13. Day 13: Historical Sites and Peninsula Tour

    • 06:00-06:30 - Have breakfast. Depart for Bok-Kaap Museum and the Castle of Good Hope, Peninsula tour-scenic route via Camps Bay and Hout Bay, and Seal colony Boat trip.
    • 12:00 - Groot Constantia (Wine Farm) for wine tasting and spend the rest of the evening with dinner.
    • 19:00 - Return to the hotel and overnight.

14. Day 14: Cape Point and Farewell

    • 06:30-07:30 - Have breakfast and check out (luggage reserved).
    • 07:30 - Depart for Boulders Beach and Cape Point.
    • 13:30 - Lunch at Cape Point.
    • 14:30-16:00 - Free time for shopping.
    • 16:00 - Depart to Pinelands, pick up luggage, and depart for Cape Town International Airport.
    • 18:00 - Check in at the Airport and say goodbyes.
    • 20:00 - Fly back home.
