Itinerary

1. Day 1: Paradise Beach

   • Start the tour with orientation: tour the cities of Serrekunda, which has the biggest market in the Gambia and the most densely populated city in the Gambia. 
   • Some time to visit and experience local traders and craftsmen in the market and drive to Bakau to meet the friendly crocodiles in the Kachikally crocodiles pool and museum, where you can spend time by the pool and have a chance to touch a crocodile. Lunch on the paradise beach of the Gambia. 

   And overnight at the Rainbow Beach Bar and Resort, a 3-star resort on the sandy beaches of the southern Gambia.

2. Day 2: Baobolong Camp overnight

   • Crossing the ferry in the morning in Banjul onto the North bank of the Gambia River to Georgetown, now locally called Janjanbureh, for lunch and overnight. 
   • A visit to Wassu stones circles and museum. Facts and artifacts of the olden stone ages. 
   • Then join the drive to cross the ferry into the Georgetown or Janjanbureh island for lunch.

   Boabolong Camp will set up a great lunch and fix accommodations based on the river experience.

3. Day 3: Boabolong Camp overnight

   • A special cruise on the sweet or freshwater zone of the Gambia River searching for hippopotami, chimpanzees, crocodiles, monkeys, and many species of birds can be found on the banks of the Gambia River. Lunch on board. The evening will be leisurely while you relax and reflect on the cruise on the River Gambia and overnight.

4. Day 4: Baobolong Camp overnight

   • We drive up the river to Bansang an administrative town that is nearby communities and visit families and see their culture and traditions. 
   • Drive back to Boabolong Camp for lunch and in the evening a tour of the island, visiting the colonial remains and slavery.

5. Day 5: Tendaba Camp

   • After breakfast, we leave the island and down river on the South bank drive; we stop at Tendaba Camp, where we will be accommodated for two nights, have lunch and enjoy the camp environment and pool.

6. Day 6: Tendaba Camp

   • After breakfast, we will join the cruise on the wetlands of Kaing West, where nature is untouched as wetlands protect people from going around there for farming or any other activities. The animals and birds find the wetlands a paradise and will take you and your cameras by surprise, posing for your photos. We will cruise back for lunch and relax. Tendaba is a four-star resort and the only resort with the Kaing West.

7. Day 7: Tanjo Camper

   • After breakfast, we drive through Brikama to enter Senegal through Gboroo and Silit immigration and get us to stamp our passports, then drive to Kafuntine.

8. Day 8: Tanjo Camper

   • We will tour the nearby community of Abena to visit the Bantang Woroo. This is one of the largest trees within the subregion, as claimed.  And have lunch on the beach in Abena.
   • After lunch, we spent some time on the beach and drove back to Kafuntine for dinner and overnight.

9. Day 9: Rainbow Beach Resort

   • After breakfast, we will drive back towards the border to check into the Gambia and to Sanyang Paradise Beach Resort. This time, our lunch will be in Tranquil Oasis in Sanyang, this is a community-orientated trill for nature lovers. The evenings will be a campfire on the paradise beach after dinner and overnight.

10. Day 10: Rainbow Beach Resort

    • Waking up to a final morning breakfast and a walk on the beach. At midday we will be checked l out as end of the best of Senegambia.
    • Transfers and extensions of the vacation will be followed.
