Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti National Park
- After breakfast, you will be picked up from Arusha and driven to Central Serengeti.
- After arriving proceed with a game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great Migration trails.
- Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park.
- A UNESCO World Heritage site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains.
- Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you an up-close look at the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of elands, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.
- We will later continue to Osinoni Lodge and campsite for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 2: Central Serengeti
- Spend two full days in Serengeti National Park mostly exploring the wildlife.
- Serengeti National Park’s resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with a pride of lions up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise.
- The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.
- Please take note – finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck.
- We will later continue to Osinoni Lodge and campsite for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 3: Central Serengeti to Arusha
- After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge with a packed picnic lunch and depart for a last game viewing on your way out of Serengeti.
- In the late afternoon drive to Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport in time for your onward flight.
- Alternatively, continue to your booked hotel for overnight.
