Day 01

Arusha to Central Serengeti and Game Drive

  • After breakfast, you will be picked up from Arusha and driven to Central Serengeti.
  • After arriving, proceed with a game drive in the wilderness, tracking the Great Migration trails.
  • Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park.
  • A UNESCO World Heritage Site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, where some six million hooves pound the open plains.
  • Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in Africa, giving you an up-close look at animals you've only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of elands, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant's gazelle.
  • Later, continue to Osinoni Lodge and campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Full-Day Wildlife Exploration in Central Serengeti

  • Spend two full days in Serengeti National Park, mostly exploring the wildlife.
  • Serengeti National Park's resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with a pride of lions up to 30 strong. From July to October, however, the area turns into a wildlife paradise.
  • The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.
  • Please take note - finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck.
  • Later, continue to Osinoni Lodge and campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
