- Embark upon a guided visit to the bustling capital city of Cambodia at attraction points.
- First, visit the Royal Palace complex, an official residence of the king and one of the most conspicuous features, displaying impressive colorful Khmer-style architecture.
- Next to the Palace is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha temple, which houses plenty of Buddha statues decorated with diamonds, emeralds, and silver.
- Continue to Wat Phnom, a historical hillock site where you will learn why the city is named as it is. Next is Tuol Sleng, also known as S-21, the former high school converted into a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975-1979, used for torture, interrogation, and confessions.
- Another place to visit is Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, known as the Killing Fields, where Khmer Rouge prisoners were executed.
Good to know: Visitors to the Royal palace have to wear proper clothes that cover their shoulders and knees.
