Addis Ababa Tour
The Addis Ababa tour will start with Mount Entoto. Along with the team, you'll ascend to Entoto Hill, situated 3,200m above sea level. A new park now boasts an observation deck with panoramic views of Addis Ababa. This location was once the capital city of Ethiopia before Menelik II relocated it to Addis Ababa. The king's palace still stands today. The local museum showcases crowns from various kings and churches, costumes, and insignia.
After Mount Entoto, we'll return to the city center for lunch.
After lunch, we'll visit the Holy Trinity Church, Ethiopia's most significant church. The last Ethiopian emperor, Haile Selassie, and his wife's mausoleum are located here (consider the St. George Cathedral as an alternative since the Trinity might be under renovation).
Next, we'll explore the National Museum, among the most pivotal in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its exhibits include the 3.2 million-year-old bones of our ancestor, Lucy. Visitors are captivated by the vast collection of emperors' and churches' insignia, costumes, and weapons. The museum's oldest pieces are rock sculptures and inscriptions from Queen Saba's era, discovered near Aksum and in present-day Eritrea.
After the National Museum, you'll experience a traditional coffee ceremony, which can be scheduled according to your preference.
