Brazzaville to Lesio Louna Tour
The Lesio Louna reserve is a 440 km2 area located in the Lefini reserve, a vast forest in the north of Brazzaville. It is renowned for its efforts to preserve gorillas in their natural habitat. It can be visited all year round. Lesio Louna is a reserve that is relatively accessible by road using an off-road car and achievable for average budgets. Here, the Aspinal PPG Foundation is working to save the species which has been threatened by poaching since the civil war and continues to this day.
The route runs from Brazzaville to the Abio 1, which is one of the reserve's living bases and from which the tour itself begins. It's almost 200 km from the center of Brazzaville, with almost all the roads paved from Brazzaville to the entrance of the reserve. From the entrance, we will need to follow a 12 km track to the base.
