Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe International Airport
- Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Moving 110 km. in Kasese 1778m. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kyanjuka
- Early rise and start from Kyanjuka (1450m). After an hour of travel, we will go through several formalities at UWA and start the track. On this day, we will cross meadows and ferns, see countless varieties of birds and hear their singing.
Overnight in the hut BL Sine Camp (2596m).

Day 3: Trek to Mutinda Base Camp (3688m)
- Start of the route from a steep climb and high steps to the Bamboo zone. In bad weather, leggings or rubber boots will come in handy here. We overcome the route along the ridge, descents and ascents through streams, passing by waterfalls covered with moss. We admire the abundance of the forest and come for the night. In your free time, you can relax or climb to the observation deck (1.5 hours up).

Day 4: Trek to Bugata Base Camp (4062m)
- We pass to the Alpine zone, crossing the Mutinda valley. We reach the Namusangi valley (3840m), which ends with fantastic waterfalls and a view of the Mutinda peaks. Camp Bugata is located overlooking Lake Copello and Weismann Peak.

Day 5: Trek to BC Margaret (4460m)
- The most difficult day (about 9 hours on the way) is the route past the Kitandara lakes with the ascent through the Scott Elliott Pass (4335m) to the overnight camp. The camp is located on a flat area protected by rocks.

Day 6: Descent to BC Hanvik (3974m)

Day 7: Descent to Kiharo Base Camp (3518m)
- Our return trip will be different from the ascent route in order to get the most out of the track, through the vicinity of the Bugata around the lake Bugata and the tributary of the Kopello. Crossing the Nyamwamba valley, you can observe the territory of thick giant ground grass with dense undergrowth and moss, we will pass through areas where glaciers melted millions of years ago and today the remaining large stones remind you of this.

Day 8: Descent to Samalira Camp (3170m).
- To the chorus of exotic birds greeting the chameleons we meet on the way, we begin our track day. We cross several valleys and streams to Kyalavula, and from here, we admire Lake Edward in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. We arrive for the night in a camp in a closed valley at the top of waterfalls.

Day 9: Kasese
- We descend a long ridge through bamboo forests to the ranger post at Kasese. We’re going to the hotel. Celebrating the end of the track.

Day 10: Entebbe International Airport
- Souvenir walk in the morning and after lunch departure or early flight to Entebbe International Airport.
