Bethany, Jericho, and Jordan River Tour
Moving to Bethany, a Greek Orthodox church on the site of the home of Martha and Mary, where you will get to see the tomb of St. Rights. Lazarus of the Four Days. While heading to our next destination, we will pass by the Good Samaritan's Lodge, a place mentioned in the New Testament in one of the parables told by Jesus. We will also see the Panorama of the monastery of St. George Khozevita and the cave temple of Elijah the Prophet. Here, we reach our second destination, Jericho, the most ancient city in the world. In Jericho, we will visit the tree of Zacchaeus, on which the tax collector sat in the hope of seeing the Savior, The Greek monastery of the Prophet Elisha and the holy spring, The Mount of Forty Days of Temptation and the Forty Days Monastery - here the Lord fasted for forty days and was tempted. Next, we move to the site of Baptism in the Jordan River.
