Itinerary
-
Langa Township
- Guests will be picked up at 8:30 am from the hotel or any location of their choice and then proceed to the District Six Museum, where they will find evidence of the Apartheid system. This system involved the shutdown of an entire neighbourhood and the forcible relocation of its people to the place we now call the Cape Flats.
- From there, we will head to the Langa Township and take a walking tour around the area to interact with the locals and witness firsthand their way of life. Afterwards, we will proceed to Guga Sthebe, a cultural center run by the government that aims to help and train the local community in various skills such as art, music, and dance.
- At Guga Sthebe, you will also have an opportunity to purchase art-made souvenirs before we proceed to an optional African beer-tasting session. Finally, we will depart back to the hotel.
